MacGeo offers two man Enabling Crews consisting of a Supervisor & Operative. Enabling Crews are utilised on medium to large scale projects with the ‘tried & tested’ objective of increasing drilling production on site, as the crew have a specific method of working in front and behind the drill crews, ultimately streamlining production. Playing a largely supporting role, these versatile personnel facilitate site activities such as compound set-up/clearance, hand dug inspection pits, installation completion and movement of various types of plant/drilling equipment.

The crew members will also possess CSCS, Cat & Genny, Emergency first aid, asbestos awareness, manual handling and banksman certification. In addition at least one crew member will possess industry recognised telehandler and dumper qualifications. With a vast amount of experience working alongside various types of drilling crews on a variety of GI projects in the UK and ability to set up, supervise and carry out a variety of ‘street works’ operations tailored specifically to ground investigation, crews typically carry out activities such as TM set-up and monitoring, pavement/road coring, excavation and re-instatement.

Each crew is provided with a fully equipped MacGeo Ltd vehicle according to the project and come complete with the minimum PPE of flame retardant overalls, hard hat, eye protection, task specific gloves and electrical resistant safety boots.
